  • 1 min read

In this episode, Dan Giffin sits down with bass music producer NUEQ to dive deep into Ableton Live workflows, Operator sound design, drum groove theory, sidechain techniques, and building unique textures in bass music. NUEQ breaks down how he creates massive drum & bass records using mostly Ableton stock plugins, why groove matters more than people think, and the mindset required to survive as a modern electronic artist.

NUEQ is an Israel-born producer now based in Denver, known for his intricate bass design, heavy drum & bass influences, and experimental sound palette inspired by artists like Culprate and KOAN Sound. He’s performed at festivals including Desert Bass and shared stages with artists like KLL SMTH and Duffrey while building a reputation for technical production and emotionally driven bass music.
